Barbara A. Harre, MD, FAAP - Medical Director
Dr. Harre is a Board-Certified Pediatrician specializing in the maltreatment of children. She offers medical assessments and treatment, mental health and behavioral assessments, and a variety of medical services that address the issue of child maltreatment. Dr. Harre is the only certified pediatrician specializing in child abuse in a fifty mile radius. Her vast experience in the field ensures the best possible experience for children and families who come to the Center.
Duke - Professional Therapy Dog
Duke joined CPRC on March 18, 2019 as the Center's Professional Therapy Dog. Duke is a 3 year old Golden-Doddle with a fuzzy warm coat and a gentle personality. Duke was trained by the Canine Assistance Rehabilitation Education and Services, Inc (CARES) and has successfully completed his Public Access Test as complied by Assistance Dogs International as well as the skills test prescribed by CARES, Inc. applicable to the laws of the State of Kansas and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duke assists Dr, Harre during examinations and Michele "Maddog" Mattox during forensic interviews. Duke loves taking naps in between jobs and can never get enough scratches behind the ears!
Richard C. Blunk, MD - Physician
Dr. Blunk joined the Child Protection Response Center in April of 2018. Dr. Blunk graduated with a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his Internship and Residency at Wright - Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Both Dr Blunk is a general pediatrician who has received further training in pediatric mental and behavioral health.
