Barbara A. Harre, MD, FAAP - Medical Director
Dr. Harre is a Board-Certified Pediatrician specializing in the maltreatment of children. She offers medical assessments and treatment, mental health and behavioral assessments, and a variety of medical services that address the issue of child maltreatment. Dr. Harre is the only certified pediatrician specializing in child abuse in a fifty mile radius. Her vast experience in the field ensures the best possible experience for children and families who come to the Center.
Duke - Professional Therapy Dog
Duke joined CPRC on March 18, 2019 as the Center's Professional Therapy Dog. Duke is a 3 year old Golden-Doddle with a fuzzy warm coat and a gentle personality. Duke was trained by the Canine Assistance Rehabilitation Education and Services, Inc (CARES) and has successfully completed his Public Access Test as complied by Assistance Dogs International as well as the skills test prescribed by CARES, Inc. applicable to the laws of the State of Kansas and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duke assists Dr, Harre during examinations and Michele "Maddog" Mattox during forensic interviews. Duke loves taking naps in between jobs and can never get enough scratches behind the ears!
Richard C. Blunk, MD - Physician
Dr. Blunk joined the Child Protection Response Center in April of 2018. Dr. Blunk graduated with a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his Internship and Residency at Wright - Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Both Dr Blunk is a general pediatrician who has received further training in pediatric mental and behavioral health.
Michele Mattox "MADDOG" - Forensic Interviewer
Michele is a former social worker whose background includes child protection and child welfare services. She is trained in the Corner House Forensic Interview Model which provides a safe, non-threatening approach to child and adolescent forensic interviewing that puts the needs of the child first. Michele has worked in various child protection positions for over 30 years.
Rebecca Willaims - Child and Family Advocate
Rebecca meets with parents and caregivers and advises them how to support their child through the forensic interview process as well as providing resource and referral information. Rebecca has an undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Science and has completed Victim Advocacy Training through the National Children's Alliance.
Melisa M. Wagler, MHCA
Melisa joined CPRC in February 2017 to service as Director of Programming and Office Manager. She brings with her a masters degree in Health Care Administration and over 25 years of experience in healthcare billing and management. Melisa played an important role in overseeing the construction and furnishing of our new office space.
LaWonda Phillips - Insurance and Billing Specialist
LaWonda will provide answers and support regarding any billing and/or insurance questions you may have. In addition, she collects all data for the CPRC to ensure that we are providing the best possible outcomes for our clients.
